In an unclear and irregular fashion, our actions, efforts and attempts leave imprints in the spiral of time that, inevitably, create conditions of possibility that help mold the times to come.

Baladun/beladun/ladun in Mamanda Theater is an opening or a way to convey a purpose in a role that is not only in the form of dialogue or behavior but also in the form of dance and singing.

The Ladun form in the dance usually takes a few steps and then turns and then faces the partner accompanied by music. Then the position of the left hand is on the chest and the right hand is pointing forward as if to invite the partner who also responds otherwise.

This song is dedicated to the King and it is usually sung by princesses and princes for their love for their father.

The Mamanda Theater uses music as a soundtrack, substituting for the players or to mark the change of a scene. The musical instruments used in the composition are usually gongs, drums and violins. However, gambus and ketipung are often used as rhythm amplifiers.

According to the archive Tilik Teater Mamanda, the music notation is used as a form of entertainment. Usually the King orders as a form of celebration, like winning the war against their enemy or his child recovering from an illness. The description also mentions that the musical group was immediately brought by the King to the palace to sing the song.

Mamanda Theater originated from South Kalimantan and spread to other areas of Kalimantan, one of which was East Kalimantan. Mamanda generally tells stories about the kingdom and life in the palace and the people they lead.
